One of the most popular treks on offer and few places in the worlds have such a splendid variety of natural beauty as the Annapurna region. It is a rare combination of long arrays of snow capped peaks, crystal clear lakes, turbulent rivers with deep gorges, Tibetan monasteries, hot-springs, and picturesque villages inhabited by simple and friendly local people. This three-week trek takes you far away from the road, into the heart of the high mountains.
Highlight of this trek is crossing the Thorong La Pass (5380m), an assent of over 4500m from the start point at Besishar. From the pass you are confronted with line after line of snow capped ridges stretching before your eyes. You will trek throught the important trading village of Manang , the holy and sacred Muktinath and picturesque Jomsom before descending through Kali Gandaki gorge – deepest on earth. The trek is rich in variety and vistas from the rolling hills of Marsyangdi to the Himalayan interior, providing the complete trekking experience. Shorter version of this trek fly out from Jomsom
Itinerary - Outline
Day 01 – Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel.
Day 02 – Admin & Sightseeing in Kathmandu.
Day 03 – Drive to Besi Sahar (drive approx 6 hours)
Day 04 – Besi Sahar to Bahundanda
Day 05 – Bahundanda to Jagat
Day 06 – Jagat to Dharapani
Day 07 – Dharapani to Chame
Day 08 – Chame to Pisang
Day 09 – Pisang to Manang
Day 10 – Rest / Acclimatsion day at Manang
Day 11 – Manang to Letdar
Day 12 – Letdar to Throung Phedi
Day 13 – Throung Phedi to Muktinath
Day 14 – Muktinath to Marpha
Day 15 – Marpha to Lete
Day 16 – Lete to Tatopani
Day 17 – Tatopani to Ghorepani
Day 18 – Ghorepani to Trikhedhunga
Day 19 – Trikehdunga to Nayapul. Drive back to Pokhara and transfer the Hotel.
Day 20 – Lesiure in hotel at Pokhara
Day 21 – Fly / Drive to Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel.
Day 22 – Departure from Kathmandu
